About
About
Stephen Britt is an experienced litigator whose clients appreciate his hard work, preparation, efficiency, and ability to navigate complex legal issues to obtain their desired results.
Stephen believes client relationships are best formed and maintained by determining a client’s interests and potential risks at an early stage of every case. He then works in an expedient manner to achieve the client’s desired results, whether it be by negotiating a favorable settlement or through the litigation process.
Prior to joining EPGGB, Stephen practiced at Stinson, LLP (formerly Severson & Werson, APC), defending national banks, lenders, and loan servicers in matters relating to lender liability, title claims, statutory/regulatory violations, and data breach cases. He also regularly handled breach of contract litigation, construction defect cases, and insurance defense matters. He also has experience in representing medical professionals in criminal, civil, and licensing hearings, and previously acted as head of the Motions & Appeals Unit for a local firm. He has drafted and argued motions in both trial and appellate courts alike.
Stephen graduated from the University of San Diego School of Law. During law school, Stephen served as the Senior Associate Editor of the San Diego International Law Journal, competed on his school’s national mock trial team, and was the Chair of his school’s Domestic Violence Clinic, where he assisted victims of domestic violence in obtaining restraining orders from their attackers. Prior to his admission to the California Bar, Stephen interned for the offices of the San Diego County District Attorney and Public Defender, where he was able to gain unique experiences in preparing felony and misdemeanor cases for trial. In 2012, he was honored to receive the Wiley W. Manuel Award for pro bono legal services from the California State Bar.
In his free time, Stephen loves sports, traveling, reading, scuba diving, and spending time with his wife and two young daughters.
